A bowler who spent time with Skegness Cricket Club is set to line-up for Afghanistan against England.
Hamid Hassan was with the seaside outfit for the 2009 season, and tomorrow (Friday) is set to face England in Sydney in the Cricket World Cup.
BBC sports report Joe Wilson said on Twitter that Hassan described Skegness as a ‘beautiful’ place.
The seamer’s time at Skegness was hampered by a back injury which limited the number of appearances he made. Despite this he still managed to take a hat-trick during a game.
Tomorrow will be the first time England and Afghanistan have met in a one-day international game.
