After the disappointment of having their county cup tie at Fulstow Rovers postponed last weekend, when their opponents failed to raise a team, Skegness Town return to league action on Saturday.

The Lilywhites head off to Cleethorpes Town Reserves hoping to complete a league double over their fellow seasiders.

Skegness beat Clee 4-0 at Burgh Road on the opening day of the season thanks to a Ben Davison hat-trick.

And at the beginning of next month the two sides meet again when the Lilywhites host Cleethorpes in the Challenge Cup.

Sandwiched in between, on October 26, is the return Skegness derby fixture, when the Lilywhites will be looking to avenge an earlier defeat by their neighbours.

Meanwhile, following Saturday’s postponement Town are expected to be granted automatic passage into the next round, the draw for which should be held this week.
