Skegness Town will be full of confidence as they welcome Cleethorpes Town Reserves to Burgh Road for Saturday’s Challenge Cup tie (kick-off 1.30pm).

The Lilywhites have already completed a league double over their seaside rivals, the latest just two weeks ago at their Linden Homes ground.

And the cup tie comes just days after beating neighbours Skegness United in the league.

Despite the win, Town boss Nick Chapman was keeping his feet firmly on the ground.

“The lads were very good against United,” he saide. “We felt we bossed the majority of the game and thoroughly deserved our win.

“The league is very tight this year and it keeps us in the mix.”

Skegness Town Reserves, who beat Kirton Town 9-1 on Saturday, are away to Mareham United in the Boston League Premier Division.
