A trip to Birmingham stands between the cream of Lincolnshire’s amateur footballers and the last eight of a national competition.

The pick of the Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League travel to Birmingham Amateur Football Association in Round Two of the FA Inter League competition.

They make the journey on the back of their 2-0 win against the Peterborough League in Round One.

Birmingham AFA had been beaten by the Anglian Combination in the last round, but due to the Norfolk-based league playing an ineligible player, the West Midlanders have been given a reprieve.

Half of the Lincs squad, selected by manager Paul Walden, play their club football in Skegness for Town and United.

CGB Humbertherm, Boston United Reserves, Gainsborough Town and Horncastle Town have also provided players for the side.

Holders of the trophy are Jersey Football Combination, who have been drawn away to Devon and Exeter League.

The full draw is: Yorkshire Amateur League v Isle of Man League; Humber Premier League v Wearside League; Birmingham AFA v Lincolnshire League; Manchester League v Essex Suffolk Border League or West Riding County Amateur League; Worthing and District League v Hampshire Premier League; Kent County League v Dorset Premier League; Surrey Elite Intermediate League v Herts Senior County League; Devon and Exeter League v Jersey Football Combination.
