ON Saturday, Skegness Town will return to league action when they travel to Market Rasen Town for a 3pm kick-off.
On Wednesday evening, the Lilywhites were beaten 6-1 at Louth Town Reserves.
They were without the suspended Michael Howard, defended poorly and were punished when Louth scored three times before the break.
Daniel Cobb was the seasiders’ scorer, and on target for the Park Avenue outfit were Ed Cope, Craig Dalton, Michael Armstrong, Rocky Rawlings, Peter Herriman and Sam Hallett.
Skegness Town Reserves fell at the first hurdle when they were knocked out of the Fishtoft Cup by Wyberton on Saturday.
The Lilywhites missed a number of chances before Wyberton took the lead against the run of play.
With the visitors looking for their first goal of the current campaign, Wyberton netted their second to make the final score 2-0.
On Saturday, Town’s second string will entertain Woodhall Spa United in the Boston League premier division.
