Skegness Town opened their warm up friendlies with a 2-0 win over an accomplished Radford FC on the new facilities at Wainfleet Road.

The Lilywhites’ goals came from Kurt Crossley and Alex Nicholls.

Town boss Nick Chapman tweeted that he was proud of his players: “Two goals and a clean sheet against a decent outfit.” he said.

Indeed, Radford finished second in the East Midlands Counties League last season, so this was always going to be a tough test for the seasiders.

“The boys showed superb commitment,” said Chapman, as he turned his attention to Saturday’s visit of Clifton (kick-off 3pm).
