England ladies’ football captain Casey Stoney was guest of honour during an action-packed day of fundraising at Spilsby’s King Edward VI Academy last Friday.
Students took part in a mass fundraising extravaganza to raise money for a new artificial pitch for floodlit football, netball, basketball and tennis.
Lincoln and England defender Stoney was at the academy from 12.30pm, and held a master class at the end of the day for boys and girls.
All the students were involved in five sessions during the day including walking, rowing, cycling, zumba, puzzles and reading.
Students have received sponsor forms and the academy is aiming to raise £6,000 towards the £66,000 total cost provided by the David Ross Educational Trust.
