Spilsby Town got off to the perfect start in the Boston Saturday Football League with a 3-2 away win at Billinghay Athletic.
Jasper Caudwell gave the home side the lead before Town levelled the scores before the break.
Another free-kick helped put Billinghay back into the lead.
Spilsby then missed one penalty before converting another successfully to level the scores.
They snatched the points with a winner to go home with all three points.
Spilsby’s goals came from Adam Dales, Eddie Rich and Jack Solomon.
Two of the new sides clashed on the opening day as Friskney Reserves hosted Boston Athletic.
The Friskney side paraded a fairly strong line-up and striker Greg Brown was on target for the home side in a 3-1 home win.
The other scorers for the home side were Craig Thacker and Ross Clow.
Another strong outfit, Benington Reserves, shared the points at newly formed Railway Athletic following a 3-3 draw.
Joe Wood, Gavin Bell and Lewis Mundt were on target for Benington.
