Team Budby racing was clearly on the ball as Sarah Budby qualified second for both races in her class against 13 drivers in her most recent event.

Both her starts let her down, but she rallied and battled for second and third every race. In race one Sarah was third, challenging for second, before unfortunately taking a very undeserved hard hit on the rear bumper in a braking zone, sending her backwards, deep into the gravel which resulted in a DNF.

Luckily there was not much damage. Despite ending up in the gravel through no fault of her own, Sarah was awarded with driver of the race.

In the second race, Sarah got a better start with her running fourth, before unfortunately getting bulked by a spinning car and dropped back to sixth.

There were a couple of safety car periods that disrupted the race and in the end it was a five lap dash to the flag.

Sarah was sitting in a comfortable fourth place behind her team mate Tom, then the switch between Ali and Tom was made as Sarah tried to make a move for third on Ali.

But Ali was good at making his car wide, till the last lap when Tom missed a gear and raced across the line to just nick third place, only 0.002 seconds off second.

Sarah was rewarded with driver of the day following her efforts. Sarah would like to thank her sponsors and team Preptech and of course her main sponsors mum and dad.
