(Billingborough won by eight wickets)

Skegness 2nds slumped to their second consecutive defeat at former champions Billingborough.

The seasiders made just 104 off their 45 overs with Andrew Sylvester (34) carrying his bat. Sylvester and opener Trevor Walton gave the visitors some hope with a 45-run partnership, but it was generally a bad day at the office for the Skegness batsmen.

In reply, Steve Scott’s half century made life much easier for the home side, who romped home with the loss of just two wickets in the 21st over.

On Saturday, Skegness 2nds host Lindum Ramblers at Richmond Drive (1.30pm).
