‘Pilgrim Hospital staff are deserving of praise’

EDITOR - Two weeks ago I gave birth to my first child, a little girl called Jessica Rose.

She was born at Pilgrim Hospital.

I could just send a card and chocolates to the labour ward to say thanks to all the midwives and staff there, but what better way to say thank you than to spread the word on what a fantastic job they do there.

The hospital has been under intense scrutiny as of late and it upsets me to now find out that women are chosing to go elsewhere because of the bad press Pilgrim Hospital is receiving.

There may be problems within the hospital, but I can wholeheartedly say that the care I received was absolutely brilliant.

The staff were professional and caring at all times, even whilst working under extreme pressure during busy times.

Some may think that I say this because I had an easy labour. I can assure you this was not the case, but my stay on the Labour and Maternity wards, during what I thought would be the most daunting time of my life, was made a pleasurable experience.

I left there a happy new mum with a healthy baby girl and can not thank them enough for this.
