Letter: Late wife a great lifeboat supporter

EDITOR - My late wife Daphne North was a great supporter of the lifeboat.

She collected for many years, going door to door with Mr Grunnill, and raised a lot of money.

Also, while on holiday in Bridlington, there was a storm and the lifeboat was called out, and people gathered to watch.

Daphne got a lifeboat collection box and went round collecting. She filled one box and had to go back for another, also filling it.

She left a donation of £1,500 towards the upkeep of the Skegness lifeboat, which is a very good cause, and I think the lifeboat men are very brave and keep us safe.
