EDITOR – The Rotary Club carol concert, held at the Embassy Theatre was, as ever, a truly memorable night with a near capacity audience.
Many of those attending the show were, like me, of advancing years and not very steady on their feet.
It was reassuring to see a number of Skegness St John Ambulance members in the audience, ably led by Les Constantine.
At the end of a thoroughly enjoyable evening, I was very apprehensive about crossing the extremely slippery and icy Embassy car park.
Much to my surprise and delight, the St John Ambulance members readily offered their support to assist the more frail members of the community across the frozen car park and into their cars.
We take the St John Ambulance members for granted, as they appear at many functions throughout the year.
We are so lucky to have their services in and around the town.
Thank you, Les, and your colleagues, for your very kind support on a cold and frosty night at the Embassy Theatre.
