This year will see the Wolds Words Festival extended to include a Children and Young People’s Programme during the October half-term holiday.
A series of workshops aimed at youngsters will take place between October 27-31 and will include creating wet felted bowls, a dance, drama and craft day, an animation session and a bear hunt.
The programme will also include family friendly shows, ‘The Case of the Curious Suitcase’ and a concert about monkeys, bears, socks and mud with Nick Cope.
Portfolio Holder for Culture, Councillor Adam Grist, said: “This year we are able to extend our successful Wolds Words Festival to include a programme specifically targeted at young people allowing us to target a much wider audience than ever before.”
