For the first time in its long history Wainfleet Theatre Club are presenting five performances of an exciting new pantomime.
Puss in Boots will be performed at the Coronation Hall Wainfleet on Saturday, January 24 and 31 at 2.30 and 7.30pm and also on Friday, January 30 at 7.45pm.
The traditional family pantomime uses an original script which has been especially written for the club.
Containing the usual blend of characters and capers that you would expect from Wainfleet Theatre Club, there’s lots of audience participation, “Oh yes there is”, and don’t forget to “Look out behind you” because you will never know what’s going to happen next.
Watch the hero, Puss, try to help his master, the rather ‘slow-off-the-mark’ Marquis de Waynflete, to win the hand of the fair Princess Catherine.
At the same time Puss has to outwit his master’s two dimwit brothers as they attempt to thwart the hero’s ambitions.
Of course, the lovely charms of Mistress Berry await any unsuspecting man that happens to come her way and she, together with the other Palace staff, create enough mayhem to make sure the path of true love is not an easy one.
A spokesman for the club said: “How does it all turn out? Will our hero succeed? Why not go along and support the club and see for yourselves what an hilarious mess they make of everything?
A feast of fun awaits you and promises to be a real treat for everybody of all ages.”
Tickets are purchased from Wainfleet Pet Store on high street.
Front row tickets cost £7.50 (Concessions £7) elsewhere, tickets are £6.50 (concessions £6).
