FUNDING FAIR: Communities Together is set to hold an ‘Information and Funding Fair’ in Ingoldmells on Wednesday (March 14).
The event will take place in the Butlins Royal Arthur Centre from 2pm to 5pm.
The day, which is free, will provide advice on funding and support to community groups, as well as offering information about setting up a new group and ways to increase the viability of community building.
A spokesperson said: “Do you belong to a community group such as a parent and toddlers group, senior citizens club or gardening club and would like to find out about funding and support to help it develop?
“Do you have an idea for a new group and don’t know where to start in organising it or recruiting members?
“Or maybe you are on a community building committee and want to find out ways to increase the viability of your hall or find out about funding to upgrade facilities?
“If you answered yes to any of those questions then why not come along to this free event?
“You will have the opportunity to chat to a wide range of organisations with specific knowledge and experience in supporting communities.
“There will also be an independent energy advisor from Community Lincs who will be running a workshop on how to save money and keep warm,” they added.
Organisations which will be on hand to offer advice include Community Lincs, Age UK, Children’s Links, Groundwork Lincolnshire, Community Foundation, the BIG Lottery, Lincolnshire Police, East Lindsey District Council, the Lloyds TSB Foundation, volunteer bodies and many more.
