Village News: Hundleby

FPS - On what unexpectedly turned out to be a pleasant summer evening, the walkers started from just south of Scrafield village, heading towards Mareham on the Hill.

A left turn led on paths across fields in the direction of Hammeringham.

A footpath through the churchyard linked up with another path to Westmoor Plantation, where the eastern perimeter path skirted the wood before a hill climb led back to the start of the walk.

Leaders for the evening were Gill Clark, and Tony Cook.

If you wish to join the supper after the walk on September 12, please book with Gill or Jayne

WI - A busy coffee morning was held at the home of Gill and Buster Clark on Saturday, August 18 in aid of WI funds.

A steady stream of visitors meant a good trade at all the stalls and endless cups of tea on such a hot day.

The WI wishes to thank Gill and Buster for kindly loaning their garden, as well as all those who donated items, all the husbands who provided the muscle power, all the helpers, those who loaned tables and chairs and all those who visited helping to raise the welcome sum of £375.

New members are always welcome at meetings in the Parish Rooms at Hundleby on the second Tuesday of each month.
