FPS - Sixteen members set off from Huttoft Bank car park on a bright and breezy day, walking along the sea wall path towards Sutton-on-Sea.
Crossing the Sandilands Golf club car Park and the road, they followed a well mown path to the A52.
A partly over grown path led to the start of the way which followed the old railway line, the Sutton Branch Conservation Area and Walkway crossing a bridge over the Boy Grift drain.
En route there was an abundance of wild roses.
A small detour had to be made to reach Mill Lane, Huttoft because of inaccessibility of the mapped footpath.
From Mill Lane, the A52 was crossed to enter Sea lane. After a short time a right hand turn was taken to Jolly Common, then a green lane to the footpath leading to Roman Bank
This path led to Mogg’s Eye, from where the final part of the walk was along the beach back to Huttoft Bank; a hive of activity with kite fliers, canoeists and fishermen.
This was a new area for quite a few members and many intend to return.
