ANGELS - The Little Angels will meet next Wednesday (February 5) at 2pm in the parish church of St Peter and Paul.

BANGERS - Burgh WI are holding a bangers and mash quiz night in the WI Hall on Saturday, February 8 at 7pm.

The cost is £5 per head and teams of up to four members are required. Telephone 01754 811488 or 811159.

BIRTHDAY - Happy birthday to Burgh WI on its 90th birthday next Wednesday (February 5).

HERITAGE - The Burgh Heritage meetings resume again next Monday, February 3 at 7.30pm in the Windmill tea room.

Malcolm Ringsell will gave a slide presentation on ‘Memories of time in Africa’. All are welcome.

MONDAY - Burgh Monday Club members held their annual dinner recently at the Windmill Restaurant.

The following Saturday they enjoyed a coach trip to Mansfield to see the Pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.

The next coach outing, for which there are still some seats, is on Thursday, February 13 to Hodsock Priory to see the snowdrops. The cost is £20.

There are also some seats left on the coach holiday to Ypres from August 13 to 17 for the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War.

The cost, which includes insurance, bed, breakfast and evening meal plus visits to Bruges and Brussels, is £475. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the Menin Gate.

LINE - The popular yet informal line dance group lines up for footwork, friendship and fun at Burgh Baptist Church on Wednesdays at 2pm.

MASS - There will be Sung Mass and Junior church on Candlemas day this Sunday, February 2 at 9.30am in the parish church of St Peter and Paul.

NURSING - Parish Nursing Drop In at Burgh Baptist Church is held on Fridays from 10am to 11.45am.

People of all ages are welcome to pop in for a check up, support or prayer with Nurse Mandy and the team (no appointment necessary) or just enjoy a chat over coffee and scones.

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Group offers support and friendship for those facing loneliness from various circumstances. Prayer is offered if desired.

The group also enjoys outings to different venues and guest speakers from time to time.

PRAM - The Pram and Toddlers Group meets every Wednesday in the Village Hall from 10am until noon.

On the first Wednesday of the month they meet in the Parish church of St Peter and Paul at 2pm. All babies, toddlers and mums are welcome.

YOUTH - Burgh Baptist church’s youth meetings are held at various times during the week.

Impact chills out on Mondays at 6.30pm for Year six and up. Kings Club meets on Tuesdays for Reception to Year Five and Little Treasures Parents and Toddlers gather on Thursdays at 1.30pm.

Newcomers are always warmly welcomed to any of these groups.

COUNCIL - Burgh le Marsh Town Council will be holding its next meeting this Friday, January 31 at 7pm in the Wesley Room, Burgh Methodist Church, Jackson’s Lane.

There will be a public forum from 7pm to 7.15pm, when members of the public can raise questions or issues to the council and hear a report from local representatives including the police, and the members for Lincolnshire County Council and East Lindsey District Council.

Expressions of interest in volunteering to help run Burgh library to avoid its closure can also be made.
