ANNIVERSARY - A reminder that the 14th anniversary of the church community tea room will be celebrated next Monday, October 7, with a presentation of cheques to charities at 10am.

The door will open at 9.45am. Free refreshments, all welcome.

GRANT - Please note the closing date for applications for the Jane Palmer Foundation Grant is this Saturday, October 5. Please telephone 810931 for further information.

HERITAGE - The autumn programme of Heritage meetings resumes again next Monday, October 7, at 7.30pm in the Windmill Tea Room. Guest speaker is Jane Richardson on The Life of a PCSO and Crime Prevention. Admission is £1.

LINE DANCING - This popular yet informal group lines up for footwork, friendship and fun at Burgh Baptist Church on Wednesdays, at 2pm. For more details contact Margaret on 810081.

LUNCH - The parish church Harvest lunch is on Saturday, October 12, at noon in the Village Hall. Tickets are six pounds and there will also be a cake and produce stall and a raffle.

NURSING - Parish Nursing Drop In at Burgh Baptist Church is held on Fridays from 10am am to 11.45 am. People of all ages are welcome to pop in for a check up, support or prayer with Nurse Mandy and the team (no appointment necessary), or just to enjoy a chat over coffee and scones.

QUIZ - A reminder of the parish quiz next Tuesday, October 8, at 7.15pm for 7.30pm in the Village Hall. There will be refreshments and a raffle.

SHOW - Burgh WI recently hosted a craft and produce show in the WI Hall.

Winners of the floral art single bloom were Margaret Pisarska, Rosemary Payne and Jean Robinson. Pot plant winners - Joy Scott, Jane Dinsdale and Michele Johnson.

Garden on a Dinner Plate - Pamela Vessey and Hannah Smelt.

Cookery section winners for victoria Sponge - Joy Scott, Mag Spence and Linda Swatton. Children’s Victoria Sponge was won by Mollie Higgins.

Cookies winners in the adult section - Linda Swatton, Hannah Smelt and Margaret Pisarska. Children’s entries were Lizzie Clarke, Harriet Clarke and Mollie Higgins.

Cup Cakes adults - Jane Dindsale, Rosemary Payne and Margaret Pisarska.

YOUTH - Burgh Baptist Church’s Youth are as follows: Impact chills out on Mondays at 6.30pm for Year six and up, Kings Club meets on Tuesday for Reception to Year five and Little Treasures parents and toddlers gathers on Thursdays at 1.30pm.
