ANGELS - The Little Angels will meet in the parish church of St Peter and Paul next Wednesday, April 3 at 2pm.

CELEBRATION - Burgh Baptist Church invite all to join on Easter Sunday in this 8am service of celebration marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Prayers and hymns of praise will be offered along with Holy Communion. The service will be followed by an Easter Breakfast.

CHILDREN - An Easter Egg Treasure Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 30 from 11am, Children can come along and spy out eggs and other goodies in the garden and grounds of Burgh Baptist Church.

Parents can assist their little sleuths or conduct their own investigations into the enjoyment of hot cross buns and coffee.

This event is free of charge and all are welcome.

DANCE - A tea Dance will take place in the WI Hall on Thursday, April 11 from 3pm to 5pm.

Dances will include ballroom, sequence and line dancing. Admission is £3, inclusive of refreshments.

DINNER - The clock was turned back to the war years at the Burgh Heritage Dinner, held recently at the Windmill restaurant.

Tara Stafford-Allen entertained with a selection of war time songs and everyone joined in singing and waving flags. Meetings have now ceased until the autumn.

EASTER - Easter services at the parish church of St Peter and Paul are as follows: Maundy Thursday, 7pm, Sung Eucharist and procession to the Altar of Repose, followed by the Watch, before the Blessed Sacrament.

Good Friday, 2pm, Liturgy, Veneration of the Cross and Holy Communion. Followed at 6pm by Sung Evensong.

Holy Saturday, 7pm, Lighting of the Pascal Candle, Renewal of Baptismal Vows and first Mass of Easter.

Easter Sunday, 9.30am, Procession, Sung Mass and Junior Church. At 6pm Procession and Sung Evensong.

FAMILY - Burgh Baptist Church warmly invites all to take part in the jubilant family service, celebrating the ‘truth and triumph’ of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday at 10.30 am.

Hymns and sketches will feature in this time of worship and fun.

GARDEN - A reminder that the Burgh Garden Club will meet tonight at the Burgh Baptist Church, starting at 7.30pm.

The guest speaker is Trevor Rogers on, ‘Organic fruit and vegetables, Myth or Reality”. All will be welcome. Refreshments will be available.

MARCH - Burgh Baptist Church will circuit the Causeway and part of Burgh High Street in a march to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday.

The procession will gather at the church and depart at 9.45am, halting for hymns and songs. All are welcome to join in this joyous procession with streamers and banners.

The march will terminate at the church in time for the Easter Celebration service that follows.

MEDITATION - Burgh Baptist Church will open its doors on Friday, March 29 at 9am for all wishing to take part in a time of meditation and reflection on the real meaning of Easter - focussing on John’s gospel.

UNITED - There will be a united procession of witness from the Market Place at noon on Good Friday.

WI - Painting for all will be the subject at the WI meeting next Wednesday, April 3 at 7pm. It will take place in the WI Hall and the speaker will be Caroline Johnson.

The competition is an old spoon.
