CRIB - The parish church was almost full for the popular Christmas Eve Crib service led by Father Terry, in which the children took part in readings and in placing the statues in the crib.

The church was beautifully decorated and as well as the candles there was the light from twenty Christmas trees which had been sponsored by groups and individuals.

The service ended with all the children gathered around the crib to sing ‘Away in a Manger’.

ANGELS - The Little Angels will meet in the parish church of St Peter and Paul this afternoon January 2 at 2pm.

BARN - The Barn Dance Workshop resumes again next Friday January 11 at 7.30pm in the WI Hall.

EPIPHANY - The feast of the Epiphany on Sunday January 6 will be celebrated with a procession and Sung Mass in the parish church of St Peter and Paul at 9.30am.

FESTIVE - The Parish Nursing put on a festive treat recently with carols, mince pies and a sketch, performed by the Drama Group.

The Parish Nursing resumes again this Friday January 4, from 10am to noon in the Baptist church.

LUNCH - The Baptist church served lunches on Christmas day to anyone who was on their own.

MOTHERS - The Mothers Union will meet in the Choir Vestry on Wednesday January 9 at 2pm

WI - The WI will hold their January meeting a week later than usual on Wednesday January 9 at 7pm in the WI Hall when the subject is ‘A True Story’. The competition is a bookmark.
