LADIES - A Ladies Lite Lunch will next be held on Saturday, December 1 at 12.30pm at Burgh Baptist Church.

Women of all ages are welcome to enjoy tasty yet healthy fare and an informative talk and open discussion on the important topic of hypertension, led by a registered nurse.

ANGELS - The Little Angels will meet next Wednesday, December 5 at 2pm, in the parish church of St Peter and Paul.

MONDAY - Due to a cancellation, the Monday Club has two seats for the Andre Rieu concert on Tuesday, December 18, at the LG Arena at the NEC Birmingham.

POEMS - ‘Memorable Moments’, a book of poems by Reginald Panton, the uncle of John Panton, who emigrated from Burgh to Canada as a young man, is on sale now.

It is £2 and is being sold in aid of the Windmill Heritage Centre. Copies are available from the Windmill centre, or from John.

SAUSAGE - The organisers of the sausage and mash supper are pleased to report that a total of £322 was raised for the poppy fund.

They are grateful to all who supported the event.

UNITED - The Parish, Methodist and Baptist Churches of Burgh le Marsh, will jointly hold a united service to mark the Advent season this Sunday, December 2.

At Burgh Baptist Church, the service will be followed by refreshments and all are welcome. For more details contact Colin on 01754 811260.

WI - Burgh WI will be in festive mood next Wednesday, December 5 at 7pm in the WI Hall.

Hannah Smelt will demonstrate Christmas flowers and members will be given a chance to make their own.

Anyone wishing to be included is asked to bring a small spray of carnations, a dish and oasis. The evening will include a faith supper.

The parcel for Santa is to the value of £1.
