ANNIVERSARY - The 13th anniversary of the community tea room, run by the parish church, took place recently with a cheque presentation of £1,000 to the Air Ambulance and £500 to the parish church.

The monies were the annual profit from the tearoom and Father Terry expressed his thanks to all for their support throughout the year.

He also expresed thanks to the tea room manager, Michael Jones, and to all the helpers.

ANGELS - The Little Angels will meet next Wednesday, November 7 at 2pm in the parish church of St Peter and Paul.

BARN - The next barn dance workshop will be on Friday, November 9 at 7.30pm in the WI Hall.

HISTORY - History Group members are to be shown a Skegness film at their meeting next Monday, November 5 at 7.30pm in the Windmill tea room.

MEET - There was a large attendance for the final Meet and Eat at the Baptist church.

Pastor Colin Bowden expresed his thanks to all who had attended and supported the events over the last seven years and to those who had prepared and cooked the meals.

During that time several thousand pounds have been raised for various charities. The final lunch was in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care.

PARTY - Children up to age nine will beam with joy over the food, fun and games on offer at the light party to be held tonight (Wednesday) from 6pm to 7.30pm at Burgh Baptist Church.

QUIZ - All are welcome to pit their wits against the best brains from Burgh and beyond at a quiz night to be held at Burgh Baptist Church this Saturday, November 3 at 7.30pm.

Entry is £5 per team, with teams limited to a four person maximum. To enter or for more details contact Michelle on 01754 762618.

SERVICE - There will be a service for All Souls and commemoration of the departed in the parish church of St Peter and Paul this Sunday, November 4 at 6pm when the preacher will be the Bishop of Lincoln.

UNITED - Burgh’s Parish, Methodist and Baptist Churches will come together for a united memorial service on Sunday, November 4 at 6pm.

This special remembrance service will be held at the Parish Church of St. Peter & St. Paul, High Street, and is open to all.

WI - Burgh WI members will be given a pottery demonstration at their meeting next Wednesday, November 7 at 7.30pm in the WI Hall.

The competition is a Lincolnshire Scene.
