BOWLS - Burgh le Marsh Bowls Club will hold its AGM at the club on Jacksons Lane this evening (Friday, April 13) at 6.30pm.

Existing and new members are welcome. The meeting will be followed by tea and biscuits.

The green opens on Saturday, April 14. Any potential new members are welcome to come and try their hand before joining.

COUNCIL - Burgh le Marsh Town Council will host the annual town’s meeting on Tuesday, April 24 at 7.30pm in the Wesley Community Room, Burgh Methodist Church, Jackson’s Lane.

The annual town’s meeting is an opportunity for Burgh electors and businesses to make statements and ask questions of the town council on issues of relevance and concern to the life and future of the town.

FLORIADE - Due to a cancellation the Burgh Monday Club have a twin bedded room available for their holiday to the Floriade in Holland from June 21 to 26.

MONDAY - Burgh Monday Club members and friends recently spent a long weekend staying at the Last Drop Hotel and Spa in Bolton.

They also enjoyed visits to the Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre and to Liverpool via Crosby where they saw the statues. A stop was made at Bakewell on the way home.

PHOTOGRAPHY - Shutterbugs of all abilities come together for fun yet helpful instruction on improving their snaps, and to share their work.

The next meeting will be tonight (Friday, April 13) at 7pm at Burgh Baptist Church and is open to all.

QUIZ - Teams of four, at £4 per team, are wanted for the parish quiz in the Village Hall on Tuesday, April 17 at 7.15pm.

SEMINAR - Burgh le Marsh Town Council is sponsoring a seminar promoting responsible dog ownership this Saturday (April 14) from 2pm to 4pm at Burgh Baptist Church.

The seminar will be conducted by a member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers, and will cover what individuals need to know to be responsible dog owners including the law relating to dogs and owners, canine behaviour and loads of helpful tips.

Questions will also be welcomed.
