AUCTION - Burgh Baptist Church will be bringing down the gavel at a morning charity auction to be held on Saturday, March 31, with viewing from 10.30am before the auction at 11am.
Quality household effects, sweet treats and other items will be on offer, and proceeds are in aid of the church’s building fund.

Admission is £1 and includes coffee and biscuits.
MOTHERS - A Mothers Union Lady Day Eucharist has been moved to Monday, March 26 from its original date of March 25.
It will be held at 10am in the parish church. All are welcome.
GARDEN CLUB - Burgh Garden Club’s next talk will take place on Wednesday, March 28.
The meeting will be held in Burgh Baptist Church from 7.30pm.
The group’s Mr Whitehall will discuss ‘Alien Plants’.
All are welcome and refreshments will be provided.

NURSING - Parish Nursing Drop In at Burgh Baptist Church is held on Fridays from 10am to 11.45am.
All are welcome to pop in for a check up, support or prayer with Nurse Mandy and the team (no appointment necessary), or just to enjoy a chat over coffee and cake.
PALM SUNDAY - On April 1 at 9.30am there will be blessing of palms, a procession and group sung Eucharist at All Saints, Orby.
At 6pm there will be a United Service for Palm Sunday at Burgh Parish Church. The preacher will be Pastor Colin Bowden.
PHOENIX GROUP - This group offers support and friendship for those facing loneliness from bereavement, divorce or other circumstances, and prayer is available if desired.
The group also enjoy outings to various venues and guest speakers from time to time.
Meetings are held on Wednesdays from 10.30am to noon at Burgh Baptist Church.
SCHOOL - The Burgh school Palm Sunday cross service will take place in the parish church on March 30 at 2pm.
SEMINAR - Burgh le Marsh Town Council is sponsoring a seminar promoting responsible dog ownership on Saturday, April 14 from 2pm to 4pm at Burgh Baptist Church.
The seminar will be conducted by a member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers, and will cover what individuals need to know to be responsible dog owners including the law relating to dogs and owners, canine behaviour and loads of helpful advice.
Questions will also be welcomed.
The council have organised the event with a view towards addressing concerns and queries expressed by residents in the published Parish Plan and recent letters about dog fouling and aggressiveness amongst other issues.
The seminar is free to all Burgh residents and the council is hopeful that many will turn out to take advantage of the friendly, professional advice on offer.

SURGERY - The town council will hold its next surgery at Burgh Library, High Street, on Tuesday (March 27) from 10am to 1pm.
Residents can come along and share their ideas or concerns with the councillors in attendance, who will then report the information back to the full council at its meeting on Friday, March 30 at 7pm.
Library services can also be accessed during council surgery hours – users can return or check out books, and use the computers and printers.

TEAR FUND SUNDAY SERVICE - The international Christian charity Tear Fund will be highlighted in the service on Sunday, March 25 at 10.30am at Burgh Baptist Church.
After the service an optional “hunger lunch” of soup and a bread roll will be offered, with proceeds going to support the charity’s work.
