Exhibitors at Skegness Caterex 2016 - the biggest catering show in the resort since they started 33 years ago - are reporting a successful first day’s trading.
June Howard, business development manager at organisers Skegness East Coast and Wolds Hospitality Association (SECWHA), says visitor numbers are up and signs are positive for tomorrow’s second day.
The event at Richmond Holiday Centre in Richmond Drive has attracted 50 exhibitors from all over the region, providing a one-stop shop for anyone in the catering industry.
June said: “We had 100 visitors in the first hour and overall numbers are up. But more importantly our exit poll is showing the majority of people have placed orders or are planning to do so and so the traders are very happy.”
While visitors browsed the stands enjoyed sampling a wide range of foods and drink, judges were deciding which were the best displays.
