Skegness beach was almost deserted this afternoon as Storm Doris hit the resort ahead of the high tide.
A few dog walkers used to the bracing east coast winds battled the gusts reported to be 69mph - and, of course, those just curious to see how it was affecting incoming waves.
So far the resort seems to have got away lightly compared to other parts of the county, with just a tree down in Lincoln Road, signs upturned and a few bins scattered across the streets.
It was even business as usual along the seafront with work continuing on the former Grand Central site to get the new leisure centre finished for later this year.
We went along to see how Skegness was coping. We’ll bring you any more developments as they happen.
