VISITORS to the heart of Skegness were treated to an unusual sight on Saturday morning - a full-grown camel outside the Hildreds Shopping Centre.
Callum the Camel and his trainers took time out from the Great British Circus, which is currently in the town, to visit the centre and wow the crowds.
Children of all ages were given the chance to feed Callum some carrots and bread. And the sight certainly proved popular with passers-by - the awe-struck crowd quickly grew in size as people stopped to gaze in wonder at this ship of the desert.
The circus will be in Skegness until Sunday, April 1 inclusive.
It is based at the car boot site in Burgh Road. Performances are at 5pm and 7.30pm on weekdays, 2pm and 5pm on Saturdays and 3pm on Sundays. There is no show this Monday.
Ticket prices range from £5.99 for some grandstand seats up to £22 for ringside front row.
The circus’ on site box office is open from 10am to 8pm or visit www.bigtopproductions.co.uk.
