A 35-year-old Wainfleet man has appeared in court charged with attempted robbery and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in public.
Damon Lee Upton appeared before Lincoln magistrates on Saturday on charges in connection with an attempted robbery at Wainfleet Post Office on Wednesday afternoon.
Upton was charged after police arrested him on Thursday and he was questioned at Skegness Police Station.
THURSDAY NOON: A 35-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery in connection with an incident at Wainfleet Post Office yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Anyone who witnessed any part of the incident or who saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area before during or after the event is asked to contact the force via the 101 non-emergency number quoting incident number 254 of July 8.
