UPDATE: Man killed in house fire in Stickney named locally
A man who died in a house fire in Stickney at the weekend has been named locally as Cyril Welbourne.
Mr Welbourne was said to be in his 90s and a reader contacted the Standard to say he had once been awarded a long service medal with the RAF.
Fire crews were called to the property on Main Road in Stickney at around 1pm on Saturday, February 25.
Sadly, firefighters discovered the man dead inside the house.
Lincolnshire Police have said that there are no suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
