THIS cute pair were rescued after being spotted near the pier on Skegness beach.

A rescue team was sent from Natureland after a member of the public saw the two Harbour seal pups huddled side-by-side.

Richard Yeadon, Director, said: “This is the first time that we have been called out to two pups lying side-by-side, which leads us to believe that they are almost certainly twins. A seal cow usually gives birth to a single pup, but we have had two sets of twins born to our resident seals at Natureland, so we know it can occur.”

The pups, a boy and girl, have still got a long way to go but early signs are promising, says Natureland.

Over the years, Natureland has released 616 seals back into the wild and if anyone finds a seal on the beach, call the team with its exact location and details on 01754 764345.
