The woman killed in a road crash on the A52 near Wrangle last week has been named by police.

She was Jean Holland, an OAP from Firbeck Avenue in Skegness.

A 67-year-old man from Leicester, who was driving the other vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently on police bail until February 20, while the investigation continues.

The crash occurred on a stretch of road between Wrangle and Holland Lane End at 10.22am on Wednesday.

The collision involved two vehicles and left one in a ditch and the other on its roof.

Jean Hollan had been a passenger in one of the vehicles. The driver of the car in which she was a passenger, a 72-year-old man from Tattershall, required treatment in hospital, although police said his injuries were not thought to be serious.

A passenger in the vehicle driven by the Leicester man was also injured, again not seriously.
