TUES 10.30AM - A man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after suffering multiple fractures in a crash at Orby yesterday (Monday) shortly before 2pm.

Firefighters from Skegness and Spilsby were scrambled to the one-vehicle road crash, which involved a black Suzuki Swift at the junction of Marsh Lane and Marsh Road in Orby, at 1.53pm.

They cut a man free from the wreckage of the car and he was transported via air ambulance to Hull Royal Infirmary.

In an update on his condition this morning, police said the man had suffered serious injuries, but was stable in hospital and added that his injuries were not thought to be lift-threatening.

The road at the crash site was closed for a time yesterday while police investigated the cause of the crash. It has since reopened.
