Time is running out for 50,000 to renew their free bus pass

Lincolnshire County Council is reminding concessionary bus pass holders to check the expiry date on their bus pass as many of them are due to run out at the end of March.

More than 50,000 cards have been replaced already, but at least 50,000 more people still need to apply.

Anita Ruffle, transport manager for Lincolnshire County Council, said: “We have already renewed 50,000 concessionary bus passes in the last few months but we know there are another 50,000 people in Lincolnshire who haven’t re-applied for theirs yet.

“Our records show that the majority of these passes will expire in March, so it’s important that people check them and re-apply if necessary.”
