A LOCAL school has helped to raise over £800 for the work of the RNLI’s lifesaving rescue work.

The pupils of Skegness Academy raised a phenomenal £816.88p after they held a non-uniform day at the school.

And several of the youngsters popped along to the RNLI’s Skegness base last week to hand over a cheque for the huge amount, where they were given a tour of the building.

The youngsters who went along included representatives from years 7 to 11.
