A CHARITY quiz in aid of a UK-wide road safety charity has raised £664.
Burgh le Marsh woman Carolyn Smith held the quiz and raffle in the town’s Bell Hotel on Friday evening.
Carolyn was seriously injured in a car crash two years ago, and was left with long-lasting pain.
She held the quiz in aid of Brake to coincide with Road Safety Week.
She also threw her support behind Brake’s campaign, which used her story as a test case of the lasting legacy of tragic road collisions..
Carolyn said: “A massive thankyou to my mum and dad, Carole and John Smith, for all of their hard work.
“And a huge thankyou to Steve Fowler at The Bell Hotel, and to Malcolm Ringsell for doing the quiz and the raffle on the night.
“I couldnt do a public speech on the night because I was crying my heart out. I got so emotional over how much support I had from everyone.”
