Police appeal over road collision near Alford

Police have appealed for witnesses following a road collision near Alford which led to the subsequent arrest of two people.

The collision occurred shortly before 3pm on Saturday, October 12 on the A1104 near Alford. A blue BMW M5 collided with a grey Ford Kuga.

A 51 year-old woman from Mablethorpe, who was the driver of the Kuga, was treated for shock.

A bag of cannabis was recovered from near the scene and the driver of the BMW, a 25 year-old man from Ingoldmells, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B, production of Class B, and dangerous driving.

A 24 year-old man from Louth has also been arrested on suspicion of the same drug-related offences.

Both have been bailed until November 7.

PC Ben Nuttell is appealing for any witnesses who saw the blue BMW prior to the collision, as it drove along the A1028 from Orby towards Alford from around 2.30pm onwards.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the vehicle prior to the incident should contact PC Nuttell on 101, quoting ‘incident number 254 of October 12’.
