A MAN has died of his injuries after a road smash near Alford earlier this week.
The man, an 89-year-old from Mablethorpe, passed away at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital on Tuesday.
He had been driving a silver Skodia Fabia at 10.15am on Monday morning when it left the road and hit a tree on Back Lane at Bilsby.
The car had been travelling towards Bilsby from Alford at the time of the smash.
The man and the car’s other occupant were injured in the crash, although at the time it was not thought that any of the injuries were life threatening.
