Web users will now be able to follow the day-to-day operations of Lincolnshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit after they joined Twitter.
In a matter of days the team has notched up 600 followers and their tweets are proving hugely popular.
So far they have posted pictures of the wreckage left behind by an alleged irresponsible drink driver and cars with no insurance that have been seized.
They have also tweeted about people driving while using their mobile phones and speeding, along with plenty of sensible tips on driving safely in the conditions of the day.
PC James Bateman said: “We’ll be tweeting on all aspects of our work, from traffic offences to collision investigation.
“We want people to know about the role we perform in the county and we want to pass on as much safety advice as possible – so please follow us.”
