Drivers are being urged to drive to the weather conditions after a number of car collisions last week - including two on the A52.

The advice from Lincolnshire Police comes after two collisions were reported in the space of 20 minutes on the A52 Huttoft Road, Sutton on Sea on Friday.

The roads were described as ‘treacherous’.

Police are reminding drivers to consider the conditions and be on their guard whenever there is a risk of ice on the roads.

“Anyone who has lost control of their car on the ice will know that sinking feeling,” said a spokesperson. “Please slow down, increase your distance with the car in front and take extra care on bends in the road.”
