Friday, 10.15am: Motorists have been facing disruption on the A16 near Skegness this morning (October 3) following a crash between two lorries.

Police were called to the collision in Main Road, East Keal, shortly before 7.20am.

A spokesman for the force said it did not appear anyone had been injured in the crash, but the road had been left blocked and its surface damaged.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire County Council’s Highways team said the vehicles - a tanker and a bale lorry - have now been removed and the road would soon be clear.

The crash had left the bale lorry’s trailer on its side, he said.

He added that a gouge had been made in the road’s surface and an assessment would follow to see whether repairs would need to be made.
