Cyclist suffers head injuries in Skegness road collision

Police in Skegness have apealed for witnesses to come forward after an elderly cyclist suffered head injuries in a road collision on Saturday (November 23).

The cyclist, a 75-year-old man from Nottinghamshire, was injured in a collision with a Nissan Micra on West Way at around 10.45am.

The man was taken to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital suffering from a head injury. His condition was described as stable this morning (Monday).

The driver of the car, an 83-year-old woman from Skegness, was uninjured.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision, who hasn’t already spoken to police, should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting ‘incident number 158 of November 23’,” said a police spokesperson.
