LINCOLNSHIRE’S CallConnect bus service is set to get even quicker following the launch of a new Twitter site.
The demand-responsive bus service, where customers pre-book their journeys, has expanded rapidly since its launch in 2001.
Its current 29 services now cover the whole of the county.
Now CallConnect is ready to launch its own Twitter site - @callconnectbus - which will feature real-time updates on changes to road conditions and delays to services, disruption caused by severe weather and vehicle availability, as well as information about promotions and special offers.
Executive Member for Highways and Transportation, Councillor William Webb, said: “Passengers can be informed within minutes if something changes, and they can pass information to us too which will help us react quickly and efficiently.”
