Bus route alterations in Skegness have worsened trade for a number of businesses, a cafe owner has said.
Barry Robinsion says he has ‘lost so much business’ at his Lite Bites cafe on Roman Bank because the number six bus no travels along the street.
Speaking during the public session of Wednesday’s Skegness Town Council meeting, he said: “We’ve lost so much business since the busses have stopped there.”
Mr Robinson felt the changes had been made due to the road works which closed Roman Bank to traffic for several weeks last year and hoped the route could resume now the repairs were complete.
However, Coun Jim Carpenter, who is also a Stagecoach employee, explained that the route changes had been implemented in response to passenger demand, who would rather be dropped off by the seafront.
