TOYNTON All Saints Church’s recent sausage and mash bash raised £550 for church funds.
The event was extremely well attended and ended with a gigantic auction of harvest produce.
“Thanks are expressed to all the ladies and gents who prepared the food, waited on guests and cleaned up after the event,” said a spokesperson.
Meanwhile, the church hopes to build closer ties with Toynton All Saints Primary School after the success of the pupils’ recent harvest festival.
The event was held in the church.
The parochial church council provided prizes for the best harvest festival themed artwork on the day.
The church has a picnic, graveyard drawing and history day planned for the youngsters in the spring, weather permitting.
