The A52 at Croft, near Skegness will be closed during the day from 7am on Monday (September 7) to Monday, September 21 for a major road work scheme.
The closure will be in place from 7am to 7pm during the week, and will be lifted over weekends. Buses and residents will be allowed access at all times and there will be ‘businesses open as usual’ signs at either end of the closure.
Andy Ratcliffe, area highways manager said, “This is a major reconstruction and resurfacing scheme, which will provide a permanent repair to ongoing problems caused by potholes on this stretch of road. This long term solution will ensure that we won’t need to return to the site to carry out repeat repairs for a considerable period of time.
He added: “I appreciate that there will some inconvenience, but it will be short term pain for long term gain. The scheme has been planned to start after the school holidays, to avoid causing disruption to holiday traffic. School buses and service buses will be allowed through the closure as we aim to cause as little inconvenience as possible to local residents.”
The signed diversion route will be via the A158 and A16. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
