Temperatures in the Spilsby and Skegness area are forecast to reach up to 18C this weekend - amid claims from the Met Office that some parts of the east and south-east could hit 20C.
The news will be welcomed by many, who have endured a drawn out winter and much colder temperatures than normal in recent weeks.
March was the coldest in the UK as a whole for 50 years.
And in the Central England Region, it was the coldest March in 121 years.
In Skegness the mercury is forceast to rise as high as 17C on Sunday under the latest Met Office projections.
Inland it is marginally warmer still, with temperatures in the Wolds expected to rise as high as 18C. It could feel warmer still in any sunshine.
