Funds will be raised for the Skegness Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) when a group of 25 take on a 10K challenge together this weekend.
The plucky posse will be among those taking part in the Asda Foundation City of Lincoln 10K this Sunday.
They comprise four members of the Skegness RNLI, in full kit, relatives of crew members, and 13 representatives from charitable housing organisation LACE Housing.
LACE Housing, which provides specialist housing and support services for older and vulnerable people, has taken Skegness RNLI as its charity of the year.
After pledging to take on the run in support of the Skegness RNLI, it approached the cause to see if it was willing to submit entrants too.
Chief executive Nick Chambers said: “Building work is currently under way to create even more affordable housing for older people in Skegness and it’s great to be supporting the work of the RNLI, which operates in the area.”
