She’s behind you! Children from Miss Rippin’s class at Richmond School are pictured happily posing with Sophie the dinosaur.

Key Stage One pupils shared a close encounter with the Tyrannosaurus Rex after taking part in a palaeontologist workshop.

Sophie’s visit kick-started the school’s new topic ‘Footprints from the past to footprints in the snow.’

The following day a dinosaur egg was discovered left by the school’s front gate which caused great excitement and wonder.

Since welcoming Sophie to the school, children have been writing newspaper reports and making lost posters to try and find the mother of the egg.
